I’m trying not to take it personally, but twice in two days I’ve received an email auto-responder letting me know that someone is uncontactable as they’re busy, but they know I’ve got in touch and will respond soon. Now I think of it, I had another one a few weeks ago. My overwhelming reaction is ‘good for you’. We can’t always be available to have a half hour phone conversation that could have been avoided by a two-minute email, and we can’t always stop what we’re doing to check or answer emails. Rarely is it critical that something is dealt with there and then.
So good for you guys, and I’m happy to wait my turn. Now if only I could train all *my* contacts to be so well-behaved and patient…
