This year we’ve chosen a family focus as our theme. Here be the official blurb:
Family-Focussed Software Fun Day
To celebrate International Software Freedom Day 2012 on Saturday 15th September, Hereford Linux User Group is holding a free family fun day with expert speakers, freebies and practical help, as well as face-painting for children.
HLUG will be at All Saints Church, High Street, Hereford, from 10am-4pm on Saturday 15th September, with a day full of events including:
*Get a free media centre system installed on any PC, even a Raspberry Pi (Led by Paula Graham of Fossbox)
*Help to secure your family’s technology and keep yourself safe (Sean Tohill of the University of Westminster)
*The great Mozilla Foundation (Firefox web browser fame) will be there helping everyone get to grips with how to make a bit of the Internet their very own. (Leo McArdle, Mozilla Rep)
*As well as all the usual help and advice, if you want to have a play with a Raspberry Picomputer, or get help with how to make the most of great genuinely free software even on Windows and Apple Mac, then drop in and have a chat.
